Following the design philosophy of the highly successful Dievas Maya Mk I and Mk II, comes the all-new third generation. This facelift made improvements to an already very well-built and good-looking professional dive watch. Instead of the large sizings that once grace the watch hype (yes 44mm and above was the “in” thing), the MK III Maya now comes in at 41.0mm wide, 13.8mm thick, and 49.0mm lug to lug. These dimensions are perfect for today’s market - where both men and women can enjoy this Teutonic tool watch - without compromising its look and build. All that said, the Maya Mk III is more than meets the eye.

The dial and hands design is carried over from the previous generation, featuring a premium design with a white hour index and "ghost" minute markers that only appear when they catch the light. This effect tidies up the dial giving it a sense of space resulting in a visually bigger watch as compared to the original. On top of that, the hands are also redesigned. The new minute and second hands are outlined in red for precise timekeeping. 

 Another craftsmanship worth highlighting is the Maya bestows a multi-layered dial design - a combination of both sandwich dial work and the embossing process. For the first time, Dievas incorporated different techniques for the dial markers. For instance, the “explorer” numerals alongside the 12 o’clock triangle marker are embossed and painted with Super Luminova. On the opposite, the remaining hour plots are cut out of the dial, using the negative space to read off them. And on the underside, luminous are being filled on the second lower layer. Overall, a refreshing dial design that is both unique and utilitarian. A fine exemplar of classic German watchmaking.
